The role in brief

You learn from the inside.

Startup Learners sit with a real sub-team and learn by doing small, real pieces of work, alongside a Teammate and a Co-Founder.

Purpose

Why this role exists

School teaches you subjects. This shows you how a business really works: customers, marketing, money and teamwork, while you still have time to choose your path.

Benefits

What you get

  • Real experience in a live startup
  • Message the Founder about everything you notice
  • A Basic Level completion certificate after 3 years
  • The Basic Level startup course, free (launching soon)
Advantages

Why start now

  • Years ahead of your classmates
  • Learn to speak with confidence
  • Find out what you enjoy
  • A strong step towards a Teammate licence
Education level

School level, Std 8 to 10

For school students. A parent signs the Parent NOC. The free readiness test gets you the 30% discount, at any score.

Time

6 to 8 hours a week

It is meant to sit around school, not replace it. Std 10 is a lighter year, around board exams.

Pricing

₹9,995 a year

GST included, with the free readiness test. Without it: ₹14,278. Paid once a year.

Your work

What a Startup Learner does.

Responsibilities

  • Help with your sub-team's tasks as they are assigned
  • Learn the product well enough to show it to a customer
  • Read customer feedback and tell your Teammate what you notice
  • Message the Founder about everything you observe, from Nirmata

Your overall approach

Be curious. Ask questions, notice what works and what doesn't, and say so. Nobody expects you to know it all, only to show up and learn. School comes first, so ask early if an exam clashes with a task.

Your rhythm

Daily, weekly and monthly.

Your work is small and real. A Teammate guides you, and your tasks arrive in one list with reminders.

Daily

A quick look

  • On school days, just check your task list
  • Note anything interesting you notice
Weekly

Do

  • Finish the tasks from your sub-team
  • Ask early when you get stuck
  • Message the Founder with what you observed
Monthly

Reflect

  • Write a short learning note to your Teammate
  • Join the startup's all-hands: wins, numbers and goals
Profit and ownership

This one is for the experience.

Let's be clear before you pay: Startup Learners get no profit share and no ownership. Most students under 18 don't have a PAN or a bank account, and school leaves limited time. So we made this licence about what you learn, not what you earn.

Profit share

None

Founders, Co-Founders and Teammates share the profit. Startup Learners don't.

Ownership

None

The 5-year ESOP ownership path is for Founders, Co-Founders and Teammates.

What you do get

A head start

Real experience in a live startup, a voice with the Founder, and a certificate with a free course.

How a startup's profit works

You'll see this up close. Customers' subscription payments, minus discounts, refunds and approved costs, make the profit. Then 100% goes to the startup's Founders (30%), Co-Founders (45%) and Teammates (25%). When you reach college, you can apply for a Teammate licence and share that pool.

Your certificate

Three years. One certificate.

Complete all 3 years, Std 8, 9 and 10, and you get the Startions Basic Level completion certificate. It includes the Basic Level startup course, free for you (launching soon).
